My home is on one of the main avenues in the town of Bombarral.
The town is approximately 65kms from Lisbon along the A8 motorway.
An Express coach to Lisbon takes 45 mins and is frequent & comfortable.
There are Lidl, Intermarche & Continente supermarkets in Bombarral as well as various other small shops and cafes.
Most day-to-day needs are within walking distance of the house.
In Bombarral you will find a walled ancient mata (forest) right in the town centre.
Just outside town you will find the famous Buddha Garden.
Market Day is 23rd of the month.
The larger town of Caldas da Rainha is 18kms away on the A8, while Torres Vedras is 25kms away on the A8.
Some furniture will be included.
Ground Floor
From the Avenue, up some gentle “traditional Portuguese Calcada” steps, there is a patio leading to the front door.
Entering the house, there is a long hallway.
To the left is a large Living Room – 7,00mt x 3,50mt = 24,5mt
To the right is a small bedroom or study – 2,72mt x 3,60mt = 9,80mt
Further along on the left is the pantry – 1,90mt x 3,50mt = 6,65mt
In the centre of the Hallway, there is an impressive stairway leading to the first floor.
At the end of the hallway on the left is the Dining Room (with fireplace)
Dining Room size: 5,30mt x 3,50mt = 18,55mt
On the right is a full bathroom.
Through a doorway, you enter a large traditional kitchen which is equipped with its own under-sink hot water heater, a dishwasher and a large GAS cooking range.
Kitchen – 3,25mt x 4,30mt = 13,98mt **
All of the main rooms in the house are equipped with split air conditioners.
Usable Area 161 m2
Gross Area 242 m2
Land Area 519 m2
Energy Category C
Going outside from the kitchen there is a small patio. A built-in cupboard houses the washing machine.
First Floor
At the top of the stairs there is a generous landing. Ahead there is an archway into a hallway. At the end of the hallway, there is a door leading up to the attic.
Off the hallway to the front of the house there are two bedrooms (currently one is being used as a TV room). Both bedrooms have their own balcony.
Going right at the end of the landing there is a full bathroom.
Next there is a large bedroom.
Opposite the bathroom is the master bedroom which has its own patio/balcony as well as under-stairs storage and walk-in dressing room (vestiario).
Attic
The attic has 3 divisions which could easily be converted into bedrooms or indeed a separate living suite.
The hot water storage (Electric) is in the Attic.
Outside
There is a walled garden paved with traditional Portuguese “Calcada” and a built-in BBQ.
Through an archway into a corridor is the annexe. On the left is the door to the garage.
The annexe can be converted into a separate dwelling. It consists of a large room, a bathroom (with gas hot water boiler) and a store room all of which are currently used as facilities for the pool.
At the end of the corridor there is a veranda leading onto the pool area. The pool is salt water and is 7×4. It was completed less than a year ago.
There is a long driveway leading to a carport and an automatic door to another road.
